2017-2018 Nomination for Gifted Services

Nomination for Gifted Services

Nominations are now open for the 2017-2018 school year; completed nomination forms must be received by no later than February 10th, 2017.  We only accept nominations for students that are currently in 2nd – 7th grades. Please complete the parent nomination form if you believe your child is performing, or shows the potential for performing, at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared with others of their age, experience, or environment, and you would like your child’s performance and achievement to be reviewed to determine eligibility for gifted education services.  No action is needed if your child is already receiving gifted services.

Please click on this link:  Bright Child or Gifted Learner?  This is a list of differences to help you distinguish between a bright child and a gifted learner. The list does not describe all the traits and attitudes of gifted children, as all children are diverse in their characteristics; however, it is a good reference of distinguishing characteristics. For additional information visit our district website – Gifted Services.
