Notice to Parents Regarding 2011 School Report Cards

Above are links to the 2011 School Report Cards as published by the Illinois State Board of Education. We are very proud of the academic progress made by our students and point out that in overall test performance on the ISAT this year our students continue to score above the 90th percentile in achievement. This is the result of students who come to school prepared to learn, focused instruction delivered by a highly professional teaching staff and strong instructional leadership by building administrators. All schools have met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as defined by the United States Department of Education this year. In spite of all buildings being identified as meeting AYP the District has been found to not have met AYP due to the performance of students classified as“Economically Disadvantaged” in the area of Reading. While these students when counted in their individual school buildings do not meet the threshold of 40 to make a sub-group, when counted as part of the total District enrollment they become a sub-group. This group has grown in numbers this year apparently a result of these challenging economic conditions. Our role now is to identify these students and provide additional resources and help to raise their performance.

Thank you for your continued support of Center Cass SD 66! Should you have any questions regarding
these report cards or your child's personal progress please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher
or building principal.
