INFORMATION SHEET
WHEN: Auditions take place during the first week of school. Here is a breakdown of the rehearsal/audition plan:

PLEASE NOTE: Rhythm section players come every day
your audition will be based on how you play with the various sections and individuals.
WHERE: DGS Band Room Room B128
WHAT:
Each player will prepare your part
to the entire tune Thaditude.

You will be asked to play only part of the piece for your audition,
but you must be able to play the entire piece. You will also be asked to
improvise two choruses of F blues, and two choruses of the tune Thaditude.
WHO: Interested students will audition. Mr. Roselieb and Mr. Williams
will hear every student audition together and decide on the results
after every student has been heard. Audition results will be posted
on Blackboard as soon as every player has been heard the target
date for posting is
HOW: Each player will play alone with a live rhythm section. Every player will be in the room for each audition.
In other words, every Saxophonist will play alone with a rhythm section in front of all
the saxophonists same thing for trumpets and trombones. Rhythm section players will be
evaluated as they play along with the horn players.
