CLIPART FROM THE INTERNET

Save pictures from the Internet

    1. Use Google to search for images. Use terms like “science clipart” or “education clipart”, or “pumpkins” in your search.

    2. When you find a picture that you want, right click on it to bring up the menu.

    3. Left click to select “Save Picture As”

    4. Change the name and location for the save.

    5. Click OK


Then, in OpenOffice . . .

  5. Browse to the location, click on the picture.

  6. Insert



You can drag pictures anywhere on the page.

Right click on a picture to bring up a menu for cropping, etc.


Formating Pictures --

When you have a picture in your document, you can change the picture --

have text wrap around the picture

add borders,

hyperlink to a website,

crop the picture, have text behind the picture, etc.

change the background color

etc.


To get started, Right Click the Picture to bring up the menu, from the menu, click Picture.


Changing the text wrap. --

Right click on the picture, from the menu, left click on Picture. Click on Wrap. Select optimal to have the text wrap around the picture.



Borders – right click the picture, click picture, click borders.

Hyperlink – right click the picture, click picture, click hyperlink.

Crop – right click the picture, click picture, click Crop.
