Labels from a Database
You can create a list (student names, family) and then make labels from that list.
Make the List
In OpenOffice,
File
New
Database
Create a New Database file
Click on Next

On the next screen, leave
Register the database and Open the database for editing selected.
Click Finish

Give the database a name and save it where you can find it again.
Make sure Tables is selected.
Use Wizard to create Table.
Create Table in Design View
Type in the column labels, i.e., Last Name, First Name, etc.
Save
Give the table a name,
Let it create the index field.
Double click on the table name (the one you just created) and enter your data.
Save the database file.
You are now ready to create labels from this list.
File
New
Labels
Choose Your Avery label from the list on the bottom right.
Choose your database from the list on the top right.

Click
on the Options
Tab and choose Synchronize
contents.
Click New Document.
When you see the label document, choose View, Data Sources.
In the data source view, select your address data source table.
Drag the data fields needed into the top left lable, position, change font, size, etc.
Place the cursor at the end of the text
Choose Insert, Fields, Other, go to the Database tab.
Select Next Record , click on Insert, then, Close.
Click on Synchronize Labels.
In the data source view, click the records you want to use.
Table Data Bar, click on the icon for Data to Fields.
