What is PDF? Portable Document Format – Adobe Acrobat Reader

PDF is a way to “freeze” a file so that it is universally readable. A MAC, a PC, a Unix/Linux computer, a web browser, all can read and open a PDF style document. There are no formatting issues, because the document is frozen.

Making PDF files

Open the document

Click the PDF icon on the toolbar

In the window that appears,

1. give the file a name

2. pick a save location.

3. Click Save or Export

To email PDF in one step, File, Send, Email Document as PDF
