Program for Academically Talented Students
Project Challenge 6-8th Grades

Students who are in Project Challenge in 6th- 8th Grades are enrolled in advanced classes at Lakeview such as: math, language arts and/or reading. Throughout the school year PC students may be given more challenging assignments that relate to the particular unit of study that is taking place in a class.

Sixth-eighth grade Project Challenge is designed to challenge students beyond everyday class instruction by differentiating assignments, projects, and novel studies in a controlled environment. In sixth grade, this takes place two days a week during study hall. Seventh and eighth grade meet twice monthly after school. The Project Challenge program gives the opportunity for the facilitator to work solely with this small group to focus on the alternative assignments that have been given along with completing other activities to stimulate the mind.
