Ide School Tour - Phase 1 Construction

Ide School Tour - Phase 1 Construction
Posted on 08/17/2018

With the start of the 2018-19 school year only five days away, we are very excited to announce that Phase 1 of the construction at Elizabeth Ide School is on schedule and we are ready for students next week!  Click here for a video tour of the new parking lot, bus lane, security enhancements, and playground hosted by Principal Sean Rhoads.

Phase 2 of the project will take place on the south side of the building, which is the old front of the school.  Phase 2 consists of a new IMC and learning commons. This work is currently underway and since it is taking place on the outside of the building, it will continue throughout the 2018-19 school year while school is in session.

Phase 3 of the project will take place on the inside of the building and involves increasing the size of existing classrooms, creating a multipurpose room (cafeteria with other uses), and incorporating a learning commons into each grade level (similar to the design of Prairieview School).  This work will take place during the summer of 2019 and be completed by the time students return for the 2019-20 school year!

We are excited for the beginning of another great school year at each of our schools and will keep you up to date with what future ready learning looks like as we Build Our Future in District 66!
