Lakeview Musician Selected for All Illinois Junior Band

Congratulations to Chase Moy on being selected to the All Illinois Junior Band (AIJB). Chase was one of 74 students selected from over 200 students by highly competitive blind auditions from across the state. This group represents the best of Illinois Middle School band students. Chase participated in a two day event on January 13 and 14 culminating with a fantastic performance on Saturday Jan. 14. The performance took place at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Illinois, Champaign. He had the opportunity to work with Mr. Doug Akey who is an accomplished middle school band director, composer and arranger. We are so proud of Chase for his hard work and for representing the Lakeview Band program and our community at its highest level!
