On Saturday, CCSD66's Those Who Excel awardees were honored by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) at the annual banquet in Bloomington. This program honors educators who have made significant contributions to Illinois' public and nonpublic elementary and secondary schools over several categories. Joining Dr. Wise at the banquet were part of the Lakeview Exploratory Team-- Erika Myers (STEM), Jennifer Rickert (Music) and Joanna Bergmann (Spanish). Not pictured with them were Elizabeth Pisano (Family Science) and Magen Newman (Art). Also honored but unable to attend were Steve Mandru (4th grade teacher), Phil Januszewski (community volunteer), Joyce Wilson (paraprofessional), Joy DeFors (Instructional Coach) and Marissa Powers (2nd grade teacher). Congratulations to all!
