As you most likely have heard by now, we are well on our way to a massive playground renovation at Prairieview Elementary. The current playground is over 20 years old, weathered, and outdated. The new equipment is designed to encourage creativity, inclusion, and play, and is enhanced with all the current safety features.

The Prairieview Playground Committee has been working hard since November 2019 to bring an exciting new playground to fruition. With the unexpected halt in activities due to Covid-19, we had to adjust our timeframe. The initial deposit has now been made and our planned install date is May 21, 2021 (weather permitting). We are now within $6,000 of our $50,000 goal. We are here to ask for one final push, as we are so close to PUMPING UP THE PRAIRIEVIEW PLAYGROUND!

As most know, Prairieview is home to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, as well as the before and after school care program for students in grades K-5, known as BACC. Our kids attend school in a beautiful building filled with incredible teachers and staff. It is our goal to ensure our Panthers have an amazing, inclusive, and fun outdoor play area to match the inside and help create great memories here at Prairieview.

The new Prairieview playground equipment will be entirely funded by private donations and grants. The entire cost of this project is $50,000 and we have less than $6,000 to go! Therefore, we are now in the final stages of seeking donations from the community. This is where we need your help!
