Just ahead of National Volunteer Week, District 66 is excited to recognize two amazing people who turned their time as volunteers into meaningful roles within our schools—Robin Suva and Sarah Rajki.
Last Wednesday, both were honored at a recognition breakfast hosted by the Illinois Association of School Administrators. The event brought together 23 DuPage County school districts and celebrated 40 incredible volunteers, making the recognition even more special.
Robin and Sarah, former and current members of the TEAM 66 executive board, bring so much energy and creativity to everything they do. Robin most noticeably has lead the planning and execution of the popular Fall Arts & Crafts Festival, while Sarah’s thoughtful planning of Teacher Appreciation Week has set a standard that others admire and aspire to replicate.
Today, they continue to make an impact in new ways. Robin now serves as a substitute administrative assistant, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, while Sarah supports students as a substitute nurse at Lakeview, providing care and comfort throughout the school day.
Their journey from volunteering to working in the district speaks volumes about their dedication and passion. District 66 is lucky to have them, and we’re thrilled to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
