Education Technology Day is a reminder of how essential technology has become in today’s classrooms. From interactive lessons to seamless communication and secure networks, technology helps support student learning and keeps our schools running smoothly every day. On September 16, we also celebrated National IT Professional Day, recognizing the often behind-the-scenes work that makes this possible.

In District 66, we are especially grateful for the dedication of our technology team: Keith Roberts (Director of Technology), Rusty Novotny (Senior Network Manager), and Sharon Dadepogu (Technology Support). Their knowledge, problem-solving skills, and commitment ensure that students and staff have the tools and resources needed to succeed. Quite simply, we could not function without them!

We also want to recognize the hard work and support of our summer IT team — Kellie Kerfin, Joyce Wilson, Cole Novotny, and Meghan Aleo — whose efforts over the summer help set up our schools for a smooth and successful year.
