Our youngest Lions in Preschool are having a blast playing safely together in our Ide multipurpose room during a gross motor activity!


2nd Graders are "stepping up" by writing questions to the 3rd Graders about what next year will be like as a Prairieview Panther.   Next Friday, 3rd Grade Ambassadors will be visiting with our 2nd Graders to answer their questions!  Yeah!
Wishing Diana Goldstein, Karen Spencer, Laura Arce, Kim Rodden, and Carol Tedeschi a Happy District Office Administrative Assistants Day!  They do amazing work for our School District and are greatly appreciated!  I also want to wish our Building Admin Assistants from Lakeview (Jennifer Lechner and Maria Gannon), Prairieview (Deb Whitt and Kathi Tannhauser), and Ide (Cindy Cronin and Anna Regan) a wonderful Administrative Assistants Day!  Without these dedicated and skilled professionals, our schools and district would not be same.  You are appreciated!

Today we announced the 2021 District Winners for the Those Who Excel Illinois State Board of Education's Award Program. In the category of Most Outstanding Team, last year's inaugural winner was the PV SEL Team. This year's building winners and representatives were the Kindergarten Team at Ide, the Encore Team at PV, and the Math Team at LV.  Congratulations to this year's building winners!  The District Representative Most Outstanding Team for 2021 is the IDE KINDERGARTEN TEAM. Congratulations to the IDE Kindergarten Team!

Today we announced the 2021 District Winners for the Those Who Excel Illinois State Board of Education's Award Program.   In the category of Teacher of the Year, last year's inaugural winner was Missy Holtrup.  This year's building representatives were Betsy Spizzirri from Ide;  Kim Swaekauski from PV, and Karin Snodgrass from LV. 
 Congratulations to this year's building winners!  And the District Representative for 2021 is KIM SWAEKAUSKI. Congratulations to Mrs. Swaekauski!  We appreciate all your hard work and effort this year.

Submissions are now open for our annual teacher grants! Teaching grants are awarded to District 66 staff for projects that enhance the student learning experience. Team 66 strives to fund innovative teaching grants to provide resources directly to the classroom for teachers to implement new educational programs, facilitate student
achievement and skill development, recognize and encourage staff excellence, and expand community involvement from individuals, businesses and civic organizations. We look forward to reviewing these grant submissions! Stay tuned to the May board meeting for a list approved grants.
